SEAFORTH — On the morning of October 16, 2024, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of CSAH 7 and 280th Street. The accident involved a 2018 Ford F550 truck, driven by 23-year-old Brandon Tusler of Welcome, and a 2023 Blue Bird school bus, operated by 72-year-old Edward Aslesen of Milroy. The school bus, owned by 4.0 School Services, Inc., was serving the Wabasso Public School district.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the school bus failed to stop at a stop sign while entering the intersection from 280th Street, leading to the collision with the northbound truck. Nine passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation, either by ambulance or private vehicles.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Minnesota State Patrol, Wabasso Fire Department, CentraCare EMS, and North Memorial Ambulance.
