Weekend storms provide relief for southern Minnesota fields

UNDATED (LEARFIELD) – Weekend storms provided relief for dry fields across southern Minnesota.

The U-S-D-A’s latest weekly update shows crop development remains behind normal with 26 percent of corn at the drought stage and 60 percent of soybeans setting pods.

Corn considered good to excellent dropped a percentage point on the week to 61 percent.  Soybean condition ratings fell three percent to 63 percent good to excellent.
