3 COVID-19 related deaths reported in southwest Minnesota

MADISON (KMHL) – Three of the 10 deaths from COVID-19 reported by the Minnesota Department of Health Tuesday were in southwest Minnesota.

Health officials say a 55-to-59 year-old person from Lac Qui Parle County passed away from the virus, while a 95-to-99 year-old person from Redwood County and a 95-to-99 year-old from Pipestone County also passed away.

The deaths were the first two reported in Lac Qui Parle and Redwood County, while it was the 10^th death reported in Pipestone County.

Statewide, the MDH says there were 513 newly reported cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. Health officials say 136 people remain in the ICU in Minnesota.
