MADISON (KMHL) – Three of the 10 deaths from COVID-19 reported by the Minnesota Department of Health Tuesday were in southwest Minnesota.

Health officials say a 55-to-59 year-old person from Lac Qui Parle County passed away from the virus, while a 95-to-99 year-old person from Redwood County and a 95-to-99 year-old from Pipestone County also passed away.

The deaths were the first two reported in Lac Qui Parle and Redwood County, while it was the 10th death reported in Pipestone County.

Statewide, the MDH says there were 513 newly reported cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. Health officials say 136 people remain in the ICU in Minnesota.
