MARSHALL (KMHL) – There will be one contested race in the City of Marshall on the November ballot – the race for Marshall Mayor.
Two additional candidates filed for the seat Tuesday on the final day of the filing period. Lyon County Commissioner Steve Ritter and Noel Ayala have filed to run for Marshall Mayor. Current mayor, Bob Byrnes also has filed for re-election to the seat.
All three city council seats are currently unopposed. Ward 2 council member Steven Meister filed for re-election as did Ward 3 council member James Lozinski. Both are running unopposed.
In Ward 1 council member Glenn Bayerkohler opted not to run for re-election. Don Edblom filed to run for the Ward 1 city council seat, he is running unopposed as well.
