Taden Duane Kruse, 16, of Gary, South Dakota, was ushered into Heaven following a car accident on June 15, 2021, leaving a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends. A Celebration of Taden’s life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Canby High School Gymnasium, Canby, MN. Burial will be in the Zoar Lutheran Cemetery, rural Revillo, SD. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22nd at the Canby High School Gymnasium in Canby, MN and will resume Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Taden’s signature attire was a red bandana and T-shirt or hoodie. You can honor him by wearing a red bandana if you would like.
Taden was born on October 3rd, 2004, in Watertown, SD to Will and Koyla Kruse. He spent his short life on the Kruse Ranch, farming with his dad, grandpa, and brothers, hunting, four wheeling, playing by the creek, going on “walkabouts” on the ranchland, and having fun with his siblings, cousins and friends. He was a member of 4-H where he achieved numerous awards and state competition for shooting sports. He completed his sophomore year at Canby High School, Canby, MN where he fell in love with football and participated in weightlifting, baseball, and choir. He was employed with Richard Johnson and R & L Splicing. He was planning a career in the military upon high school graduation.
Taden leaves behind his parents, older brother Stran,19, younger brother Garon, 14, and little sister, Hatti, 11. He is also survived by his grandparents, Rodney and Joy Renaas and Roger Kruse, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles, with his Great Uncle Duane Kruse holding a special place in Taden’s life from where his middle name comes. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Ruth Kruse and cousin, Eric Kruse.
