Sherry Lynn Fehl, age 65, of Lake Benton, Minnesota passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Moments Hospice/Crossroads Care Center in Worthington, Minnesota after a brief illness with cancer.
Sherry was born on June 25, 1957 in Tyler, Minnesota to Morris and Irene (Wichern) Fehl of Lake Benton, Minnesota. She was a graduate of Lake Benton Public School and attended St. Cloud State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. She lived in Minneapolis, Dallas and Chicago during her years of employment with Burroughs Corporation. Sherry very much enjoyed creating various, beautiful quilts and gifting them to relatives as well as donating many to St. Genevieve’s Church for their annual fundraiser. Her love of buying gifts for others was evident by the numerous Beanie Babies, stuffed animals and Fenton glassware given to nieces and nephews. The floral shop was kept busy delivering arrangements she would order for the ill and recovering or “just because.” Those who knew her would acknowledge that Sherry was never slow to give her opinion on a topic, and her opinion was always “right!”
Sherry is survived by her father, Morris of Lake Benton, Minnesota; siblings, Steve (Billie) Fehl, Gary (Becky) Fehl, Randy (Lori) Fehl, Teresa (Bill) Bunkers, Tom (Robin) Fehl and Jeannette Kirmeier; maternal aunt, Helen Murphy; cousin and friend, Duane Wichern; and many nieces and nephews. Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, Irene; brothers, Richard, Jeffrey and Jerry Fehl; nephew, Derick; great-nephew, William; and good friend, Robert Briffet.
