Shelly Hindermann, age 58, of Redwood Falls, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls surrounded by family. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 6 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Redwood Falls Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shelly Hindermann was born June 23, 1966 to Eldrich and Nancy (Garman) in Redwood Falls. She attended Reede Gray Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Redwood Falls in 1984. After graduation, she worked at Sunwood Nursing Home caring for patients. On June 20, 1987, Shelly was united in marriage to Steve Hindermann at St. John Lutheran Church. Together, the couple lived in Redwood Falls. She worked for Zytech for many years and then dedicated 15 years working for Lee-Fuhr Chiropractic. Shelly worked at the front desk at the Redwood Falls Hospital and the ER and most recently worked for REM in patient care until she retired in 2024 due to her health. In her spare time, Shelly enjoyed reading James Patterson novels, taking trips with her family, going on motorcycle rides, and visiting with family and friends. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandsons.
Shelly is survived by her husband of 37 years Steve; children: Amber Hindermann (special friend Dakota) of Sioux Falls and Brenan (Merissa) Hindermann of Redwood Falls; grandsons: Grayson, Holden and Gideon; father Eldrich Robbins of Redwood Falls; siblings: Lori (Mike) Gewerth of Alexandria, Greg (Terri) Robbins of Hutchinson and Dave (Shauna) Robbins of Bismarck, ND; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Nancy, grandparents Lila & Aaron Garman and Lucy & Lester Robbins, sister and brother-in-law Phylis (Aldon) Enstad.
