Robert “Bob” Edward Cyr, age 89 of Tracy, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Our House Hospice of Murray County. According to Bob’s wishes, no public services will be held. Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Robert “Bob” Edward Cyr was born April 26, 1936 in Marshall, Minnesota to Edd and Florence (Pochardt) Cyr. He was a devoted member of the Tracy Church of Christ where he was baptized on October 18, 1953. Bob received his schooling at Tracy Public Schools. He enlisted in the US Army in June of 1959 and was stationed in Korea. In April 1963, he received his honorable discharge. Bob was united in marriage to Janet Johnson on February 15, 1964 and they were blessed with one daughter, Lori. Bob worked as a truck driver for several area businesses, including Nackerud Trucking out of Tracy and A & A Express out of Brandon, SD. After his retirement, he drove for the Tracy School District.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Lori (Jason) Becker of Marshall; grandchildren: Reed and Bristol Becker; and brother Dennis (Dot) Cyr. He is preceded in death by his parents Edd and Florence, wife Janet, and brother Ronald.
