He was a graduate of Canby High School.  On May 25,1974 Rick was united in marriage to Debra Jean Nelson at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. After their marriage they started and raised their children near Canby. Deb passed away on September 15, 2005 at the age of 51. Rick was a proud owner/operator since 2004, in his own 2005 Peterbilt he proudly achieved 2 million miles recently.  Rick enjoyed camping, fishing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed racing and watching NASCAR and football. He LOVED his grandchildren and was their biggest fan. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or figure out how to make it work. He was always a phone call away and dropped everything if we needed him. He was a lifelong member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
