Ricky “Ric” Dale Morgan, age 68 of Tracy, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at home with family at his side after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Private family services will be held. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ricky “Ric” Dale Morgan was born to Dale and Carol Onstad Morgan on February 16, 1954 in Tracy, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at the Tracy Lutheran Church. Ric spent the early years of his life in Folsom, California with his parents.. He returned to Tracy in 1961 to live and be loved by his grandparents, Ted and Helen Lien, along with his great aunt, Babe, who was in charge of his discipline. Ric attended Tracy Public School. Ric married Heidi Saxhaug on June 16, 1979 at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. They had three children, Cody, Cole and Charly. Ric enjoyed pheasant hunting with his beloved dog Leelu for 18 years. He lived a quiet, behind-the-scenes life and his death mirrored his life.
Ric is survived by his wife Heidi; his children: Cole and Charly Morgan, all of Tracy; his grandchildren: Olivia and Amelia Sazama, and Briggs Key; his brothers: Ronn and Rob Morgan also of Tracy. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Cody, grandparents, mother and father- in-law and sisters: Randi, Roxanne and Renee.
