Patrick “Pat” Ahrens, age 52, of Morton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, August 21, 2020. Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Morton City Park, Morton, Minnesota. Family asks you bring your lawn chairs for comfort. Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, August 28 at the Morton City Park, burial to follow at the Morton City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Redwood Falls.
Pat Ahrens was born to Earnie and Beatrice (Reynolds) Ahrens in Redwood Falls. Patrick lived with his grandparents (Jack & Bunny Reynolds) after his mom passed away when he was 5 years old. Pat attended Redwood Falls Schools and graduated in 1986. Pat attended Willmar Vocational School for Parts Merchandiser, then worked at Schoffmans. Pat worked at Jackpot in the kitchen and Flexor until his health caused him to retire. Pat enjoyed snowmobiling, horseback riding, motorcycle riding and especially spending time with his dog “Rascal”. He was good for tilling and mowing the neighbor’s lawns and gardens. He loved to spend time at the farm and at Grandpa’s lake place near Southhaven, at Lake Marian. He enjoyed being busy by helping others.
Pat is survived by two brothers; Earnie “Moon” (Loni) Ahrens and Tom (Maggie) Ahrens; sister in- law Audrey Ahrens; and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Earnie and Beatrice Ahrens; brother Jim and grandparents, Jack & Bunny Reynolds.
