Muriel Wadsworth, age 100, of Porter, MN, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield, MN. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Porter, MN. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Minneota, MN. Muriel Irene (Anderson) Wadsworth was born November 16, 1922 in Canby, MN to Oscar and Augusta (Thompson) Anderson. She was raised in Canby where she attended and graduated from Canby High School.  Muriel was united in marriage to Leonard Jackson on November 7, 9144. The couple had four children together, Lana, Roger, Craig and Shawn. Leonard passed away on September 24, 1971. Muriel worked as Postmaster Clerk in Minneota for 4 years before becoming the Postmaster in Porter. She married Jim Drown on May 17, 1974 and they lived in Porter, MN. Jim passed away on May 4, 1977. She retired in 1989 to take care of her son Craig for three years. Muriel met and married Arnie Wadsworth on April 17, 1995. They lived in Hayti, SD near his family. He passed away on October 24, 2004 and Muriel returned to Porter where she enjoyed her retirement. In January of 2022 she entered the Clarkfield Care Center and passed away there on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the age of 100.  She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Porter. She loved and enjoyed her family. She had many hobbies which included: sewing, baking, gardening, playing cards, music and dancing.

Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons: Roger (Ruthmary) Jackson, Sioux Falls, SD and Shawn Jackson, Porter, MN; grandchildren: Teri Tucker, Tim Tucker, Tiffany Tucker and Lee Jackson; and 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husbands: Leonard Jackson, Jim Drown and Arnie Wadsworth; daughter Lana (Jackson) Tucker, son Craig Jackson, grandson Tony Tucker, parents Oscar and Augusta Anderson, brother Ken Anderson, sisters: Joan Vick and Audrey Risvold.
