Margaret Mary Bursack was born February 9, 1959, to parents Frederick and Mary Ann (Kobbe) Bursack in Hendricks, Minnesota. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her youth in the Lutheran faith and then attended school in Hendricks. Margaret moved to Marshall in her teenage years and began working hospitality at the Super 8 Hotel and later found work at the Traveler’s Lodge. It was there that she met Mr. Gary Penske.  Margaret was united in marriage to Gary on November 22, 1997, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. The couple made their home on a farm north of Vesta and later moved to the Winsted area prior to Gary’s death in February of 2016. The couple shared 18 years of marriage together.  Margaret was known to many for her feisty temperament – appreciated by many and not so much by others. She spent her free time with her cats, reading books, or watching the Minnesota Twins.  Health complications led to Margaret living in the Twin Cities area and Marshall before receiving care most recently in Tracy, Minnesota. Margaret died there on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Sanford Tracy Medical Center. She reached the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 15 days. Blessed be her memory.

Margaret is survived by her brother, Jim (and Tammy) Bursack of Marshall; sisters-in-law, Winona Bursack of Olivia, Jan (and Glen) Kuck of Winsted; nieces and nephews, Christine (and Dan) Sullivan of Vesta, Ryn (and Katelyn) Bursack of Marshall, Brandon Bursack of Marshall, McKenzie Bursack of Marshall; other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mary Ann Bursack; husband, Gary Penske; two brothers, Fred Bursack and Bruce Bursack.
