The funeral service for Lucille “Lucy” Larson, 76, of Marshall, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Lucille “Lucy” Marie (Nesteby) Larson was born on September 13, 1944, in Marshall, to Elmer and Anna (Brey) Nesteby. Lucy grew up in Marshall and graduated from Central Catholic High School. After graduation, she attended business school in Willmar. Lucy moved back to Marshall and worked at Moberg Oil for a time, then 25 years at Lockwood Motors. On November 7, 1964, Lucy was united in marriage to William Larson. The couple made their home in Marshall and raised two children. After retirement, they wintered 13 years in Pleasant Harbor, AZ. Lucy was an avid reader, and she enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Lucy died on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. She is survived by her children Larry (Myndi) Larson of Trent, SD, and D’Ann Paradis of Marshall; grandchildren Jeff, Sam, Bridgett, Brittany, and Dan; siblings Helen Kerr, Linda Ohman, Gladys (Jim) Jacobson, and Robert (Rita) Nesteby; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Anna, husband Bill, and sister Martha VanLoy.
