Lucas Alfredo Espinoza was born to Alfredo and Tamara (Rehder) Espinoza in Marshall, Minnesota, on August 19, 1983. He was baptized at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and attended school there through the 8th grade. After leaving Marshall High School, he began working at Godfather’s Pizza.

Lucas is described as being genuine, smart, sincere, sweet, and open-minded. Lucas had recently worked as a cook and he was currently employed as a home health aide at Divine House in Marshall, caring for adults with special needs. He enjoyed nature, music, watching wrestling on TV and playing games on his phone and computer. Lucas was a faithful Minnesota sports fan, taking in as much of the Vikings and Twins as he could. He also cherished time spent with his family and always had a story to share.

Lucas Espinoza died peacefully at his mother’s home on May 26, 2019. He had reached the age of 35 years, 9 month, and 7 days. His charisma and sense of humor will be missed; blessed be his memory.

Lucas is survived by his mother, Tamara Rehder of Marshall; father, Alfredo Espinoza of El Paso, TX; siblings, Stacy Simpson of Arlington, TX, Juan Espinoza of St. Cloud, Alyssa (and Marlon) Tome of Sioux Falls, SD; niece & nephew, Alondra & Lorenzo Tome of Sioux Falls, SD; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.
