Lorie Mae Hoffbeck, age 62, of rural Morgan, died on Saturday, June 29, 2019, unexpectedly at home. Private family service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, with burial to follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Lorie Mae Hoffbeck, the daughter of William and Florence (Steinhaus) Forbrook was born on January 14, 1957 and was raised on the family farm in rural Morgan. She attended and graduated from Morgan High School.

Lorie married Jeffrey Hoffbeck on January 4, 1975 at Zion Lutheran Church in Morgan, Minnesota. They lived in Morgan Township where they raised their children and ran the family Auto Mechanic Shop. Lorie worked with her husband at Jeff’s Garage as the bookkeeper. She also kept up with the landscaping of the farm place.

Lorie loved to garden, cook, bake, spending time at the cabin up north, putting together puzzles and bird watching. She was excited to welcome their first grandchild.

Lorie is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; her children, Jeremy (Holli) Hoffbeck of Morgan and Jill (Rick) Krautbauer of Janesville, Minnesota and soon to be expected grandchild. Also surviving is her mother, Florence Forbrook of Morgan, sister, Doreen Gustafson of Edwardsville, IL and brother, Randy (LeeAnn) Forbrook of Maple Grove, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Forbrook and brother in law, Gary Gustafson.
