Linda K. Larsen was born June 10, 1951 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Leland “Bud” and Betty (Sackett) Dallenbach. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton, Minnesota, and attended Morton public school. On August 31, 1974, Linda was married to David E. Larsen in South Dakota, and together they made their home on the Lower Sioux Community. Together, they raised three daughters and many foster children. Linda worked as a CNA at Wood Dale Nursing Home for many years, and then worked various jobs at Jackpot for over 10 years. She loved spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren, and fishing with her best friend, Patty Schoen. She could often be found cooking something delicious, listening to music, or trying her luck at one of her favorite games: Bingo, Keno, and Jackpot Party. Linda also enjoyed watching old TV shows and game shows, including Little House on the Prairie, Lassie, and The Price is Right.
Linda is survived by her children: Teri (Brian) Schemmel, Becky Larsen, Barbara Larsen, all of the Lower Sioux, and Liz LaBlanc (Taylor) of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Erin, Emily, Evan, Elias, Kateri, Tiara, Georgia, Henry, Corbin, Jarvis, Mitanksi, Damon, Cante, Topez, Grace, Monica, Maverick, Anais, and Kinsley; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings: Mike Dallenbach of Morton, Beverly Roper of Morton, Vicki Dallenbach of Morgan, Nicole Albrecht of New Ulm; sister-in-law Sue Dallenbach of Morton; best friend Patty Schoen of the Lower Sioux; and many other relatives and friends.
