Kyle Dean Kjelden, born on December 2, 1975, passed away peacefully at his home on November 15, 2023, with his dogs Turbo and Loki at his side. He was 47 years old. Kyle was a son, brother, dad, cousin, uncle, and friend to many. Kyle attended Hendricks Elementary and Lincoln HI High School. He obtained his GED in the summer of 1994. He began working as soon as he could. On the surface you could see what an incredibly hard worker he was. Growing up on a farm he was taught the value of hard work whether in the garden, the fields, or the barn. He learned to appreciate and not take for granted what he was given. He and his brother, Mike, were always tinkering with farm toys. Kyle and his siblings were always expanding their tree forts and enhancing their mudpies. He carried his work ethic into adulthood and became an exceptional employee. He took a lot of pride in his meticulous excavation work. Kyle was also very creative and talented. He was most comfortable in his garage that he built and would spend hours making projects out of materials that he found. If you were lucky enough to really get to know Kyle you would see that he had a heart of gold. He was kind and generous. He also loved his dogs. Many of his evenings would be taken up with phone conversations with Ron. There never seemed to be a lack of content in those calls. This was a complete contrast to the daytime where he disliked talking on the phone because it interrupted his quality of work.
Kyle is survived by his sons, Cody and Joshua Kjelden; parents, Ronald and Marlene Kjelden; siblings, Renee (Mike) Kleber, Mike (Jodi) Kjelden, and Joni Kjelden; niece, Hanna; nephews, Ryan and Adam Kleber, Austin and Liam Kjelden, aunts, uncles and 21 first cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Orris and Vivian Hexem; paternal grandparents, Pernie and Eleanor Kjelden; and niece, Grace Kjelden.
