(Spoiler Alert) The second half of Season 5 of “Yellowstone” premiered Sunday night, and we found out the fate of Kevin Costner’s character, John Dutton.
He was killed off in the first few moments in an apparent suicide. But it was revealed later in the episode that it was only STAGED to look like a suicide. He was actually killed by a hitman hired by Jamie’s girlfriend Sarah.
Kevin didn’t see the episode. On “The Michael Smerconish Program” yesterday, he said, quote, “I didn’t know it was actually airing last night . . . So no, I found out about it this morning actually.”
He also didn’t know the suicide was staged. He told Smerconish, quote, “I heard it’s a suicide, so that doesn’t make me want to rush to go see it.”
But he added, quote, “They’re pretty smart people. Maybe it’s a red herring. Who knows? They’re very good. And they’ll figure that out.”
