Joyce Ann (Springer) Osland, age 84, of Tracy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Tracy Lutheran Church in Tracy. Visitation will take place 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2026, at Tracy Area Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Storden. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joyce Ann Osland was born September 29, 1941, to Ray and Charlotte (Leopold) Springer. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Joyce received her education at Storden High School. On November 1, 1958, Joyce was united in marriage to Stanley Osland at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden. In 1966 they moved to Tracy where they raised their four children and celebrated 67 years of marriage. Joyce enjoyed working at the Red Rooster for almost 30 years; where she made lifelong friends with the staff, as well as the customers. After her retirement, Joyce enjoyed driving for Western Community Action, getting to know and helping those in need. Through the years, Joyce was an active member of Tracy Lutheran church community: supporting Missions/Do Day Ladies Quilting, the Funeral Ministry, Altar Guild, as well as participating in many Bible studies and the Hospital Auxiliary. For many years Joyce and Stan loved providing the sweet rolls for the Sunday Adult Bible Study. Joyce had many enjoyments in life, which included spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; taking them to the park, the swimming pool, and spending time on her porch swing. Joyce enjoyed spending time with many nieces and nephews, golfing, swimming, gardening, embroidery, puzzles and bird watching. Her most treasured enjoyment was making homemade breads, angel food cake for birthdays, baked beans and Rice Krispie Treats for family gatherings and the special neighbor children next door.
Joyce is survived by her four children: Rosalie (Mark) Krause of Springdale, AR, Rodney (Sherry) Osland of Abilene, KS, Shelley (Tyrone) Fiegen of Cary, NC, and Kendall (Michele) Osland of John’s Island, SC; grandchildren: Matthew (Cortney) Krause & Philip Krause; Paula Bigham, Curtis Osland, Vanessa Tiede, Derek (Jill) Deines & Alaina (Brandon) Perez; Aubrey (Marc) Rose, Caleb (Sydney) Osland & Luke Osland; great-grandchildren: Ella, Evan & Eli Krause; Bradley & Emma, Samantha, Adam, Nathan, Wyatt, Andrew, Malee, Lockett, Raychel, Bryce, Oliver, Hunter, Ryder & Myah, Kaiser & Cillian; great-great-grandchildren: Emelie, Luna, Charlotte & Penelope; brother, John Springer of Winthrop, MN; sister-in-law, Sharon Springer of Corona, CA; and many other relatives & friends. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley Osland; grandson, Ryan Fiegen; and brother, Ronald Springer.
