James Charles Horgan, age 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Friday morning on May 20th, 2022, joining his parents Gerald and Lorell Horgan, and father-in-law Howard Helberg, in heaven. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Grace United Methodist Church – “The Gathering Place” at 200 North Main Street in Hendricks, MN followed by lunch. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Hendricks, MN is entrusted with the arrangements.
James was born in Omaha Nebraska on April 16th, 1958. Jim worked as the youth pastor for Bethesda church of Minneapolis for 7 years before becoming a Licensed Psychologist, working in his private practice and throughout the Marshall area.
Jim had a great sense of humor and always made everyone feel welcome. In his free time he loved hunting, camping, hiking, biking, traveling, tinkering with various projects, spending time with his family, and with playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Leann, married 41 years; three children Kelly (Israel) Montes, Kent Horgan and Alex (Rodolfo) Landeros; siblings Cheryl Martinez, Tim (Liz) Horgan, Layne (Raelee) Horgan, Dawn (Pat) Cunningham; many nieces and nephews; and grandchildren Azael (7), Yelitza (3).
