Eugene Terra, age 80, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at his home in Springfield. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Redwood Falls.
Eugene Anthony Terra was born March 13, 1942 in Arroyo Grande, California to Irving and Mary (Carvalho) Terra. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School and went on to attend PolyTechnic San Luis Obispo College. Eugene was raised on a ranch, farming all his life. On August 21, 1973, Eugene married Joyce Young in Spokane, WA. Together they spent 50+ years creating a life full of memories that had brought them joy and laughter. Eugene enjoyed the simpler things in life, such as fishing, hunting, camping, being outdoors, farming, gardening, and most importantly his family.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Joyce Terra of Redwood Falls; daughter, Cassandra Terra; and five grandchildren, Caitlyn, Walker, Madalyn, Jazlyn, and Ashlyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Mary Terra; brothers, Ken Terra and Irving Jr. Terra.
