Elizabeth “Beth” Ann (Lanoue) Brewers was born on October 19, 1944, in Marshall, MN, to Alfred and Elda (Fuhrman) Lanoue. She grew up on a farm near Tracy, MN, and attended school in Tracy. She graduated from Tracy High School in 1962. She then attended Professional Business Institute in Minneapolis, MN, and in 1964 received her degree in Laboratory and X-Ray. In 1966 she met her future husband, Thomas “Tom” L. Brewers, and they were married at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall, MN, on May 6, 1967. Beth and Tom were married for over 51 years before Tom passed away in 2018. Throughout their marriage, they made their home in Ghent, MN, where they raised their two children, Chris Pesch of Taunton, MN, and Greg Brewers of Sioux Falls, SD. Beth worked at the Doctor’s Plaza in Marshall, MN, as a lab technician from 1966 until 1991. From 1991 until her retirement in 2017, she worked in the travel industry, eventually retiring from Southwest Tours in Marshall, MN. Beth and Tom were very active. They both loved golfing, bowling, playing cards, camping, fishing, and being spectators at their grandsons’ many sporting events. They always enjoyed a big group of friends and frequent social outings. Beth was an avid follower of all things having to do with any sporting events, especially any team from Minneota, MN. It was rare to not find Beth and Tom at their grandsons’ sporting events. Beth and Tom had a very special and close relationship with all four of their grandsons. She loved playing cards in as many as four Bridge Clubs a week and was competitive at all things. She was a frequent volunteer at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent, the golf course in Minneota, Ghent’s Rolle Bolle activities, and as a record keeper for numerous bowling leagues and many other events. She was proud to have served on the Board of Directors for Prairie Home Hospice for six years. Beth was a very skilled seamstress and quilter, often making her own clothes. She loved her time spent quilting and has left behind dozens of the most beautiful quilts for family and friends to enjoy. Beth was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in January of 2026, and died peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday January 29, 2026, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.
