Edward B. Holzerland, age 74, of Mendota Heights and formerly of New Ulm, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his home in Mendota Heights. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, July 10, 2020 from Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, with burial to follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Seaforth, Minnesota. Visitation will be held at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home on Friday, from 2 until 3 pm.  Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Services of Redwood Falls.

Edward was born on June 18, 1946 to George and Veronica (Katzenberg) Holzerland in Redwood Falls. Edward graduated from Wabasso High School in 1964. Edward married Diane Schnobrich June 20, 1970 and later divorced. He worked as Production Line worker at Kraft foods of New Ulm for 35 years.  Edward was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. He was a member of the Concord Singers of New Ulm and the American Legion Post of New Ulm. Edward was an avid photographer. He took great joy in playing taps on Memorial Day Services in Seaforth, Vesta and Wabasso in past years.

Edward is survived by his son, Paul (Brenda) Holzerland and daughter, Mary Jo (Jeremy) Hoffrogge both of Mason City, Iowa and 9 grandchildren.  Edward is preceded in death by his parents, George and Veronica Holzerland. Brother, George Holzerland and sisters, Mary Holzerland and Delores Holzerland.
