Mass of Christian Burial for Edna Regnier, 88, of Marshall, will be Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. A walk-through visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests that masks be worn by everyone, and that social distancing be respected.
Edna Lorraine (Dunteman) Regnier was born July 8, 1932, in Tracy, the daughter of Chris and Elsie (Sabinske) Dunteman. She graduated from Tracy High School. She then went on to attend nursing school. Upon graduation she worked at the Marshall and Slayton Hospitals. On December 28, 1955, Edna was united in marriage to James Regnier. The couple farmed south of Minneota until they moved to Heritage Pointe Senior Living in May 2019. Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially playing board games with her grandchildren. She also really enjoyed working in her garden. She belonged to a Neighborhood Women’s So-and-So Club. Edna was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall.
Edna died on November 29, 2020, at Heritage Pointe Senior Living in Marshall. She is survived by her husband James of Marshall; sons Phillip (Renee) Regnier of Brooklyn Park, Warren (Rita) Regnier of Marshall, Duane (Theresa) Regnier of Lynd, and Keith (Lisa) Regnier of Lynd, and daughter Nadine (Jim) Mayo of Crystal; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn (Peter) Schreier, Elaine (Dale) Kain, and Eleanor Sellman, and brother Melvin (Dorothy) Dunteman. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Eunice (Donald) Weedman.
