Dustin Lavoie, age 30, of Marshall, formerly of Willmar, Minnesota, died on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. A reception for attendees will follow at the AmericInn Hotel in Marshall.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his celebration at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.

Dustin Ross Lavoie was born on July 7, 1992, in Marshall, Minnesota. He was the son of Loren and Gloria (Christensen) Lavoie. Dustin grew up in Green Valley, Minnesota, and was baptized as an infant in the Methodist faith. During his high school years he received first communion and then was later confirmed at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Dustin attended school in Marshall, graduating with the high school class of 2011 and then went on to Ridgewater College in Willmar.  On June 22, 2017, Dustin was united in marriage to Daeshia Sundin at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. The couple made their home in the Willmar area and had three children: Liam (age 4), Payton (age 2), and Weston (11 months). Dustin worked as a general store manager for Domino’s Pizza and recently began driving truck for Coca-Cola’s beverage distribution center.  Dustin was a family-oriented man and enjoyed spending time with his young children. He was an avid sports fan, particularly interested in following the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, and Indianapolis Colts. He could often be found gaming, visiting a casino, joining in a game of poker, or simply enjoying the outdoors.

Dustin Lavoie died at the St. Cloud hospital on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023, following a spontaneous brain hemorrhage due to complications from Leukemia. He reached the age of 30 years, 8 months, and 26 days. Blessed be his memory.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Daeshia Lavoie of Willmar; children, Liam Lavoie, Payton Lavoie, Weston Lavoie all of Willmar; mother, Gloria Lavoie of Green Valley; father, Loren Lavoie of Fargo, ND; mother-in-law, Mary Sundin of Willmar; brother, Preston (and Olivia) Lavoie of Milroy and their daughter, Margaret; brother-in-law, Dayton (and Mandy) Sundin of Willmar and their children, Mathew and Dixie; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by an infant child; brother, Weston Lavoie; maternal grandparents, Ronald & Elizabeth Christensen; paternal grandparents, Beulah (and Kenneth) Lavoie, Harlin Lavoie; and grandmother-in-law, Carolyn Sundin.
