Cheryl Jean Lindeman was born on August 6, 1958, in Leola, South Dakota, the daughter of Wallace and Doris (Popp) Kracke. She grew up helping out on the farm and at her family owned restaurant in Leola. She attended Leola High School through 1976 and later Cheryl moved to Le Sueur, Minnesota where she worked at Green Giant and met Jim Lindeman. They moved to Arizona and were married on December 1, 1984, in Las Vegas.
After a couple of years, they moved to Marshall, Minnesota where they both worked for The Schwan Food Company. The couple continued working at various positions for Schwan’s and lived in California and Kentucky before eventually moving back to Marshall.
Cheryl loved the lake and being on the water, which drove her and Jim to “retire” to Alexandria and enjoy the lake life. She was happiest when she was out on their pontoon, jet ski or sitting by the fire watching the sunset with family and friends.
