Beatrice Carol (Olson) Heise was born on July 10, 1935 in Enumclaw, Washington to Bernt and Clara (Storbo) Olson. Beatrice lived her entire life in the Porter, Minnesota community. She became a resident of Canby Sylvan Court in December of 2018. She passed away May 4, 2020.  She attended country school and Canby High school; always attending her class reunions was a priority.  Beatrice married Wilmer John Heise on January 31, 1959. Wilmer passed away January 1, 2017. At the time of his passing they were married 58 years. To this union one daughter was born, Bonnie.  She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Porter where she was treasurer of WELCA for many years. She was also a member of Porter American Legion Auxiliary. She was bookkeeper for Heise Trucking and worked with the Prairie Five Head Start Program. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage; she was a member of Sons of Norway and spent many hours making lefse with her friend Norma Evjen. Playing cards was a favorite pass time with friends and relatives. She was a very humble and kind person (except maybe during some card games). Camping and fishing were also favorite pass times of hers and Wilmer’s. Many camping trips were spent with Bud and Alta Heise, Si and Rose Olson, Gilbert and Olga Muetzel, Duane and Marlys DeBettignies and many others.

Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Bob) Merritt of Porter; her grandchildren, Brent (Toni) Merritt of Orono, Paige Merritt of Canby and Jodi Merritt of Porter; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Bennett and Niles Merritt; sister Glenda (Bill) Ackerman of Savage; nephew Tate (Jessica) Ackerman of Phoenix, AZ and other relatives and friends.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, great- grandson Miles Fliss and other relatives.
