Audrey A. Hansen, age 91, of Canby, MN passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, MN. Memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 20th at Nicolai Lutheran Church in Canby, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Canby City Cemetery in Canby, MN. Houseman Funeral Home-Birk Chapel of Canby, MN has been entrusted with arrangements.
Audrey Ann Hansen was born on April 27, 1934 in Canby, Minnesota to parents Harold and Ethel (Yackley) Fliss. She was raised in the Canby area and graduated from Canby High School. Audrey was united in marriage to Merlyn Andrew Hansen on June 14, 1952 at Nicolai Lutheran Church in Canby and together they were blessed with five children. Together they raised their children on the family farm. Audrey helped where she could on the farm as well as taking care of the children. For several years Audrey worked in the bakery department at Jim’s Market in Canby. Audrey was a member of the Nicolai Lutheran Church where she was involved in various areas. She was also a member of the Sewing Club. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing and going to the lake with her family. Time spent with family and friends especially with her grandchildren was her biggest enjoyment. Audrey passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Grateful for having shared Audrey’s life are her five children: Rodney Hansen (special friend, Jeanie), Canby, MN, Darcy Wislinsky (special friend, Dennis), Porter, MN, Dudley Hansen, Canby, MN, Wayne Hansen (special friend, Mary), Canby, MN and Eric Hansen, Canby, MN; grandchildren: Chris (Jessica) Hansen, Stephanie Hoffman, Kayla (Richard) Reyerson, Jenna (Derrick) Stage, Ryan (fiancé, Brandon) Hansen, Brittany (Chris) Dahl, Brett (Morgan) Hansen and Andrew (Kionna) Hansen; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Arlene Fliss and Darlyne Tollakson; and brother-in-law, Darold (Karen) Hansen along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merlyn; her siblings: Bud Fliss, Leland Fliss and Eileen Lauck and Ethel Joy Winter and her son-in-law, Dennis Wislinsky.
