Amanda Blomme, age 40, of Montevideo and formerly of Cottonwood, Minnesota, died suddenly on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at her home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. Following a reception, interment with will be in the Russell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue on Friday just before the service, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of her celebration at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall is handling the arrangements.
Amanda Kay Berglund was born on July 23, 1982, in Tyler, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Duane and Cheryl (Sutherland) Berglund. She was baptized at the Tyler Lutheran Church. She attended Russell- Tyler- Ruthton schools. Amanda started working as a farm assistant and built her career there. In 2009, Amanda married Joseph Bloome at the Baptist Church in Marshall. The couple lived on a farm near Cottonwood. They were blessed with a daughter, Natasha. Amanda had recently moved to Montevideo. Amanda enjoyed bowling League in Granite Falls, gardening in the summers, especially flowers, and spending time with friends. She loved to spoil Natasha’s dog, Sassy. She would often show her love through baking for those around her. She was an avid artist, creating beautiful drawing and paintings of butterflies, doing metal fabrication and plasma torch cutting. She will be deeply missed.

Amanda is survived by her daughter, Natasha Blomme (and Ryan Peterson) of Russell; parents, Duane and Cheryl Berglund of Russell; siblings, Crystal Buysse of Marshall, Josh (and Melissa) Berglund of Russell, Kayla (and Cory) Buchert of Russell; 5 nieces and nephews, Taylor Buysse, Jacob Buysse, Hailey Buysse, Piper Buchert, Mae Berglund; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Laris and Arlene Sutherland.
