Alyssa Milano really stepped in it when she started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her 12-year-old son’s baseball team.

She Tweeted, quote, “My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip.  Any amount would be so greatly appreciated.  You can read more about the team and make a donation here.”

(That would be Cooperstown, New York, where the Baseball Hall of Fame is located.)

Now, a few things about Alyssa Milano.

1.  She’s been working pretty steadily in Hollywood for 40 YEARS and is, by all accounts, a multimillionaire on her own.

2.  She’s also married to David Bugliari, one of the heads of the Creative Arts Agency . . . a MAJOR Hollywood talent agency.

3.  She drives a $200,000 electric Porsche Taycan 4S with a $14,000 custom paint job.

So yeah, the Internet really let her have it.

But Alyssa’s fighting back.  In a follow-up Tweet, she said, quote, “I’m getting media inquiries about whether I have financially contributed to my son’s baseball team.

“I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown birthday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.  The kids also do fundraising themselves;  car washes, movie nights, and many other fun things!

“Thank you to all who have contributed to the gofundme!  You’ve made things easier for these boys and their families.”

I guess you can put another check in the win column for the One Percent . . . because Alyssa was trying to raise $10,000, and as of last night she’d received more than $11,000.
