Allen Gladis, age 71, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Hendricks Community Hospital in Hendricks, MN.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31st at Christ Lutheran Church in Hendricks, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at the Hendricks City Cemetery in Hendricks, MN.  Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Hendricks, MN has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Allen Thomas Gladis was born in Tyler, Minnesota on March 28, 1954 to Aloysius and Loretta (Staniszewski) Gladis. He was raised on the family farm near Ivanhoe, Minnesota in the area known as Hawks Nest. He graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1972 and then he furthered his education by attending Vo-tech learning to become an electrician. He worked in Tyler, MN, Brookings, SD and Austin, MN prior to starting and operating Lincoln Electric for over 30 years serving the areas’ electrical needs.  On September 24, 1977 Allen was united in marriage to Linda Pixley at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, Minnesota. To this union they where blessed with three children” Trista, Tracy and Mike. After marriage they lived in Ivanhoe and in the early 1990’s they relocated their family to their current home near Hendricks, MN.  Allen enjoyed fishing, golfing and vacationing in Western South Dakota every year for countless years. He also enjoyed collecting, everything from Marvel comics, Star Trek memorabilia and various movies throughout the years. His most memorable moments were spent with his family, especially with his children and grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared Allen’s life is his wife of nearly 48 years, Linda of Hendricks, MN; his children” Trista (Kelly) Sauer, Watertown, SD, Tracy (Jason) Estling, Cottonwood, MN, and Michael Gladis, Hendricks, MN his four grandchildren: Bryce Estling, Colin Sauer, Daxton Sauer and Bryant Estling; one brother: Dan (Darla) Gladis, Osakis, MN and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and his aunts and uncles.
