Alfred “Al” Leith, age 81 of Morton, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 14 at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alfred “Al” Leith was born September 18, 1939 to Alfred “Tiny” and Marian (Zimmerman) Leith in Cloquet, Minnesota.  He graduated from Morton High School in 1957. In April 1962, Al enlisted in the U.S. Army and received his honorable discharge in April 1964.  He then went to Minneapolis, where he received his training to become a barber.  He owned a barbershop in Wayzata and Robbinsdale, where he retired in 1993.  Al then moved to Morton.  On February 14, 2004, Al married Nancy Fabre in Las Vegas.  He worked security at Jackpot for five years and operated a barbershop out of his basement at home.  He was a member of the American Legion and served on the honor guard for the Legion, VFW and the Lower Sioux. You could often find Al fishing, gardening and golfing. He looked forward to golfing in the Morton Open every year.  Al loved spending time with his family, especially the grandbabies.

Alfred is survived by his wife Nancy of 17 years; son Allen (Dianne) Leith of Brookline, NH; Nancy’s girls: Theresa (Steve) Trusty of Waubun, Maria Doll of Minneapolis, Jackie Doll of Minneapolis, Karol (Todd) Bennett of East Bethel, and Karrie (Kory) Hansen of Minneapolis; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters Geri Leith and Ruby Minkel both of Morton; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Jason, sister Roberta Jean, niece Connie and nephew Kevin.
