Addison Lynn Knott, age 7, of Wabasso, passed away unexpectedly in an accident at their farm on Thursday, August 25, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso – please wear the color blue, as that was Addison’s favorite color. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow the service at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Wabasso. A celebration of life will be at Tiffany and Addison’s farm on Friday, September 2, 2022 after the luncheon at church. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be made to St. Anne’s School in memory of Addison Knott.
Addison Lynn Knott was born April 8, 2015 to her parents Tiffany Lesmeister-Knott and Glen Knott in Willmar, Minnesota. She was baptized May 10, 2015 by Pastor Dan Larsen at Bethany Lutheran Church. Addison attended St. Anne’s Catholic Elementary School in Wabasso. She had a special connection with her grandparents, siblings, and niece Ellison, as she was always wanting to spend time with them! She loved being on the farm, helping with chores, and spending time with her animals. She was a member of 4H, liked to go fishing and was excited about shooting her BB gun. Addison enjoyed playing with her friends, going swimming, jumping on the trampoline, ice skating and playing on her 8U softball team. Addison spent her free time rollerblading, riding bike, hoverboarding and being part of the Sioux Valley Cycle Club – racing four wheelers. She was a very busy little girl and you could always find her on a set of wheels!
Survivors are her parents, Tiffany Lesmeister-Knott and Glen Knott; siblings, Nicole Knott and special friend, Chayse Schuler of Marshall, MN., and Tyler Knott of Wabasso, along with his daughter Ellison Knott.; grandparents, Bernie Knott of Wabasso, Rhonda Tubbs of Sanborn, and Ken and Diane Lesmeister of Morris, MN.; great grandmother, Laverna Lesmeister of Morris; aunts and uncles, Carol and Joe Pelzel, Jano and Wayne Rudenick, Jim and Deb Knott, John Knott, Jeff Knott, Jolene and Leon Schroepfer, Jean Knott, Jill and Warren Buchholz, Lisa Swenson, Troy and Tonja Lesmeister, Dusty and Kim Schroeder, and Tanner and Andrea Jarvis; along with family and friends. Addison was preceded in death by her grandfather, Arnold Knott; and great-grandparents, James Lesmeister, Marj Marchant and Arlo Tubbs.
