Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret “Peggy” Cline, 93, of Marshall, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at the church. Interment will follow the service at Cavalry Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
Margaret Ford “Peggy” Cline was born on August 8, 1930, in Casselton, ND, to Dennis and Emilie (Benesh) Ford. She grew up in Casselton and graduated from Casselton High School. Peggy obtained her Pharmacy Degree at North Dakota State University in Fargo. Peggy worked as a Relief Pharmacist at several pharmacies in the Minto and Fargo areas. Around this time, she met S.F. “Red” Cline who was working at a pharmacy wholesale company. The couple was united in marriage on September 2, 1961 in Fargo. In 1963, they opened “Cline’s Pharmacy” in Marshall. They operated the pharmacy until 1986 when they sold the business and retired. Peggy was passionate about people. She understood the importance of getting to know her customers and she greatly enjoyed their interactions. She was also passionate about education. She and Red donated to many schools and were proud to initiate the Cline Family Scholarship with the Pride in the Tiger Foundation. Peggy also encouraged and supported her grandchildren with their higher education. She also enjoyed following NDSU Football and the Minnesota Twins.
Peggy died on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Landmark of Fridley in Fridley, Minnesota. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen (James) Dozier of Palmetto, GA, Rebecca (Ernest) Que of Ham Lake, MN, Mary Koziol (fiancé Joe Hellermann) of Melrose, MN, and Elizabeth (Timothy) Fritz of Cottage Grove, MN; grandchildren Megan and Emily Dozier; David (Emma) Que, Marina, Isabella and Elena Que; Hannah and Olivia Koziol; Joseph and Matthew Fritz. She was preceded in death by her siblings parents, husband Red, siblings Mary Johnson, Dorothy Gwinn, John Ford, Lois Dargan and Barbara Kiefer.
