MARSHALL (KMHL) – Expect travel difficulty to continue across the region throughout the day today. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for southwest Minnesota through midnight.
Forecasters are calling for an additional 2 inches of accumulating snow in the Marshall area today, and wind gusts to 40 miles per hour.
The weather service says around 8 inches of snow hit the Marshall area.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says roads in the Marshall area are completely covered in snow. Forecasters say to expect areas with significantly reduced visibility with the snow and blowing snow.
