Wayne M. Wisniewski, age 63, of Ivanhoe, MN, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN. Burial will be in the Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ivanhoe. Visitation will be from 2 – 4 pm with a prayer service at 4 pm on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe and will resume Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, MN is entrusted with the arrangements. Wayne Michael Wisniewski was born on November 25, 1959 in Brookings, SD to Milan and Darlene (Krogmann) Wisniewski. Wayne graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1978. He married Jackie Laleman on February 9, 1980. To this union two children were born: Jesse and Angela. On September 7, 2007, Wayne married Salor Wininger. To this union Wayne gained three stepsons: Joshua, Kyle, and Brandon. Salor passed away on January 30, 2016. Wayne resided in Tyler with his best friend and fiancée, Kathy LaBrune. They had the pleasure of traveling and making lasting memories together. Wayne grew to love Kathy’s daughters: Terra and April. Wayne grew up helping his parents on the family farm. After graduation, Wayne farmed for a few years. Then, he followed in his dad’s footsteps and started cross-country trucking. His most recent job was trucking for Appel Trucking. Wayne loved and enjoyed his job. Wayne’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He loved camping, fishing, playing cards, spending time outside, and attending family gatherings.
Grateful for having shared Wayne’s life is his mother, Darlene; fiancée, Kathy Labrune; son, Jesse (Mary Jo); daughter, Angela (Harold) Guggisberg, stepchildren: Kyle Wininger, Brandon Stump, Terra (Chris) Rouge, April (Chad) Cordie; grandchildren: Jordan, William, Lee, Paul, Michael, Afton, Joey, Justin, Maddison, Lillian (Marcus), Tiffany, Jasmine, Trinany, Rylee, Cash, and Lane; brother, Keith (Bernie) Wisniewski; nephews, Joseph and Lucas Wisniewski; Uncle, Vern Krogmann, and Kathy’s family: Ryan, Steph, Danaca, and Lincoln LaBrune, Barb Anderson, Sue and Dave Schaff, Diane Harding, and Nancy and Larry Deutsch. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Milan; wife, Salor; stepson, Joshua; and uncle, Dennis Wisniewski.
