WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service is marking 250 years of continuous service in 2025, highlighting its historic role in American life and unveiling a new commemorative symbol: the Eagle in Flight.
Created in partnership with the Turner Duckworth agency, the new symbol reflects USPS’s legacy and future mission. While it won’t replace the existing “sonic eagle” logo, the Eagle in Flight will feature prominently in the agency’s anniversary celebrations throughout the year.
Acting Postmaster General Doug Tulino emphasized the Postal Service’s enduring role: “Since the time of our nation’s founders, our universal mail system has strengthened the bonds of friendship, family and community.”
To honor the milestone, USPS plans a series of releases and events, including commemorative stamps, a coffee table book, an updated history of the agency, branded merchandise, special media content, and advertising under the banner “Delivering since 1775.”
