REDWOOD COUNTY — A 29-year-old driver from Lamberton was taken to the hospital with minor injuries Friday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of CSAH 6 and 180th Street.
The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office said the crash was reported at 3:29 p.m. when a southbound Mazda SUV driven by Byamba Erdene rear-ended an unoccupied GMC pickup that was hauling a farm tiller. The SUV caught fire after the crash, but Erdene was able to exit the vehicle before it became engulfed.
Erdene was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lamberton Ambulance, Lamberton Fire Department, Wabasso Ambulance, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
