WINDOM — A Tracy man and woman were injured in a crash after swerving to avoid a dog in the roadway in Cottonwood County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 6:37 Sunday evening, a 2011 Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Highway 62 in Great Bend Township of Cottonwood County, just west of Windom. The driver swerved to avoid a dog in the roadway and entered the ditch.

The driver of the Jeep, 58-year-old Billy Thao of Tracy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom hospital. His passenger, 55-year-old Sally S Vang of Tracy, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom hospital.

Assistance was provided by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Windom Police Department, Windom Fire Department, and Windom Ambulance.
