ST. PAUL (KMHL) – Gov. Tim Walz has extended the ‘Stay-at-home-order’ through May 4th.

Walz says he’s extending the stay home order to significantly slow the spread of COVID-19 to let the state continue preparations for the pandemic.

“We can not rest,” Walz said during his press conference Wednesday afternoon. “This thing can explode overnight if we don’t take the proper precautions.”

Along with the allowable activities in the current order – the extension will allow landscape maintenance workers to resume operations.

Bars and restaurants will remain closed through May 4th.
