Roseann M. Hopp, age 97, of Franklin, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax, Minnesota. A Private Family Service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Franklin, Minnesota, with burial to follow in the Franklin City Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Services of Redwood Falls.

Roseann Magdalena (Dommer) Hopp was born on August 25, 1923 to Frank and Elizabeth (Mantel) Dommer in Vail Township, Redwood County. Roseann married Arnold Hopp on December 20, 1945 in Morgan. Arnold passed away on September 19, 1968, due to a car accident. She worked in the Franklin area, at some business that are long gone. Ben’s U Save, Franklin Produce, Fingerhut in Bird Island, ADC in Fairfax. She also worked at the Franklin Nursing Home for several years. Before retiring, she was employed at Jackpot Junction in the housekeeping department.  She along with her sisters Frances and Margaret enjoyed going on summer vacations in their camper to many places, especially enjoying the rodeo’s out in Clear Lake, South Dakota.

She is survived by children, Patti (Gene) Scharfencamp of Franklin, John (Linda) Hopp of Franklin; Grandchildren, Curt (Jen) Scharfencamp, Sara Scharfencamp, Stacy (Trevor) Hopp Toltzman, Charles Hopp and 6 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; son, Charles in infancy and son, Dean. Also waiting for her in heaven are all of her sisters, Loretta, Frances, Marcella, Doloris, Margaret, and Caroline.
