
Rick was born to Donald and Edna (Cox) Konold on October 4, 1962 in Aberdeen, SD. On August 26, 2001, he was united in marriage to Penny Erwin in Morton. Rick was a jack of all trades. Outdoor activities that he enjoyed included canoeing and fishing. Leisure time was spent watching Oak Island or Nascar on TV. Rick was involved in Demo Derbies, both building and racing, as well as going to auctions and car shows. He was fond of playing Redneck bowling, cribbage and chess.
Rick is survived by his wife Penny; children: David (Megan) of Marshall, Stephanie (Brandon) Van Epps of New Ulm, Alisha (Jamie) Sheets of Clarkfield, Carmen Iverson (significant other Dan Kowalski) of Redwood Falls, Bill Rider of Watertown, Cathren Messenbrink of Redwood Falls, and Karen Rider of Marshall; grandchildren: Layla, Wyatt & William Konold, Haley, Emily, Lilly & Levi Van Epps, Lucy & Leon Sheets, Chloe & Addison Kinman; sister Brenda (Don Winston) Lynne of Clarkfield; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Donald and best friend Tony Nelson.
