MARSHALL — Tonight at 7:00 p.m., precinct caucuses will be held across the state. Precinct caucuses are a chance for Minnesotans to participate in their local elections and where grassroots politics begin. They are first in a series of meetings where political parties may endorse candidates for all levels of elected office, select delegates to attend state and local party conventions, and set their party platforms. Minnesota’s presidential primary is held the following week on March 5th.
The Republican Party’s caucus location in Marshall is at the Grace Life Church, located at 1601 East College Drive.
The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’s caucus location will be the Adult Community Center, located at 107 South 4th Street.
Precinct caucuses are run and organized by the political parties. Information on the location of major party caucuses can be found online at the Secretary of State’s 2024 Caucus Finder tool. https://caucusfinder.sos.mn.gov/
