CLARKFIELD – A South Dakota woman was injured after her vehicle crashed into a field in Yellow Medicine County on Saturday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 8:49 Saturday morning, a 2012 Chevy Traverse was traveling eastbound on Highway 67, east of Clarkfield, when the vehicle left the roadway, over-corrected, and went into the ditch, before coming to a stop in a farm field.
The driver of the Chevy, 52-year-old Reyna Esmerald Gomez Peralta of Lake Norden, SD, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Granite Falls hospital. Three passengers, a 26-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a one-year-old girl, all from Lake Norden, were not injured.
