Melanie Jade Arnold of Tracy, passed away May 28, 2023 on her 37th birthday at Methodist Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her family. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at the Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Melanie Jade Arnold was born to Kevin and Kimberly (Engler) Arnold on May 28, 1986 in Slayton, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray. She graduated from Westbrook Walnut Grove High School in 2004, where she was a cheerleader. She attended Minnesota West in Granite Falls and received her Associate’s Degree in 2006. Melanie met her fiancé Nick Johnson at Prairie’s Edge Casino near Granite Falls where she was working as the Food and Beverage Director. In October 2020, she started her job at Minnwest Bank in Tracy. Melanie enjoyed cats, camping, spending time at the lake and pontoon rides. Some of her hobbies included playing games and cards, and collecting rooster memorabilia. She was a loving Aunt and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Melanie had a glowing personality and was always smiling. Family was so important to her. Melanie was the glue that held everyone together. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all.
Melanie is survived by her fiancé Nick Johnson; mother Kimberly Arnold; siblings: Layne, Natalie, Cassidy (Mary) and Cody; grandpa Lanny Engler; nieces & nephews: Lexis Arnold, Damon Giefer, Ethan Rumfelt, and Tyler, Emma, Isaac, & Trevor Arnold; mother-in-law Ann Johnson; sisters-in-law: Michelle (Jeff) Giese, and Kandi (Mike) Steckelberg; several nieces and nephews from the Johnson family; and many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. She is preceded in death by her father Kevin; grandparents; and nephew Lincoln Arnold.
