MARSHALL — On August 2, 2024, at approximately 12:33 a.m., the Marshall Police Department responded to a firearm discharge incident in the 1500 block of East College Drive. Officers interviewed two women present in a hotel room at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities assure there is no immediate threat to the public. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Brown, Lyon, Redwood, Renville Emergency Response Unit assisted at the scene.
