MARSHALL – A stabbing suspect is dead, and one woman is in critical condition following an officer-involved shooting on Sunday, according to the Marshall Police Department. At approximately 2:40 Sunday morning, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Brusells Court in Marshall. Upon arrival, a Marshall Police officer observed a man stabbing a woman. The officer deployed their taser, and then fired their gun to stop the suspect.
Life-saving efforts were performed on the male, however he died at the scene.
The female stabbing victim sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident and was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.
The Marshall Police Department has asked the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for assistance in the investigation.
