Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Drietz, 82, of Marshall, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall, with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the remembrance center. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

Margaret Jeanette (Flemming) Drietz was born on March 4, 1940, to Jim and Bernice (Huffman) Flemming in Minneota. She attended St. Edward Catholic School through eighth grade, then graduated from Minneota High School. On September 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to Clarence Drietz at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. This union was blessed with two daughters and two additional children that died young.  Margaret worked for the Navy Exchange for 26 years. Throughout her life, Margaret traveled the world, always being a supportive wife and loving mother.  After retirement, Margaret and Clarence moved to Marshall, MN, and enjoyed their winters in McAllen, Texas. Margaret loved spending time playing cards and baking for friends and family.  

Margaret died on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clarence, of Marshall; daughters Deborah (Ken) Henrickson of Cold Spring and Terri Mohrweis of Arizona; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Runyans of Virginia, Robert Henrickson of Colorado, Therese McMillan of Georgia, Catherine Layne of Kentucky, Thomas Henrickson of Minnesota, Chris Mohrweis of Arizona, and John Mohrweis of Arizona; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers John (Linda) Flemming and Joe (Mary Kay) Flemming. Waiting to greet her in heaven are her parents Jim and Bernice, brother Jim Flemming, sisters Marie Cowan and Margie Flemming, and son-in-law Bill Mohrweis.
