Madeline Margaret (Boncquet) Timmerman was born May 12, 1927, in Fairview Township to Silvere and Marie (VanHove) Boncquet. She grew up on a farm with her family in rural Marshall, MN. She attended Saint Joseph Catholic School for 8 years and graduated from Marshall High School in 1944. She received all her sacraments at Holy Redeemer Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Madeline married the love of her life, Archie Timmerman, on September 7, 1948, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall, MN. They made their home on a farm in Westerheim Township, where they raised their 8 children and farmed together until moving to Marshall in 1983. Archie and Madeline spent several winters in Mesa, AZ, where they enjoyed time with their many friends. In 2011, Madeline moved to Boulder Estates where she loved to play cards, especially Bien and Pepper. She also loved gardening, cooking, baking, Rolle Bolle, and watching the Minnesota Twins.
Madeline was a natural caregiver, and together with Archie they opened their home to their aging parents and other relatives. They also loved to host friends and family; many nieces and nephews enjoyed a stay at “Aunt Madeline’s”.
Madeline’s biggest enjoyment was spending time with her large family who were very special to her, and she was very special to each of them.
